Vancouver Chapter Update

The Vancouver CSTA chapter would like to extend our great appreciation to Don Vialoux, the founder of timingthemarket.ca, who came to Vancouver and gave the insightful presentation "Why Timing the Market".  We also appreciate Grahame Lloyns from Claymore Investment who talked about Technical Analysis on Exchange Traded Funds.

The event was successfully staged in Richmond City.  Close to 70 members and freinds of the society attendanted he event. We thank everyone for their participation.  In September, Mr. Ron Meisels will present "Cycles of Securities Markets" via telephone.  If you are interested, please visit Vancouver Events page for more information.

Calgary May Meeting Recap

May 1, the Calgary Chapter held one of it's regular monthly meetings - with the highest attendance yet.

55 people attended a live presentation by our own Ron Meisels. Ron was in Calgary on other business and very kindly offered to speak to our Calgary group in person while he was here.

As most of you know, Ron is not only an extremely accomplished and experienced technical analyst, but he is also a completely entertaining presenter. A great time was had by all that night!

CJTA First Issue is Here!

The first issue of the Canadian Journal of Technical Analysis (CJTA) is out!

CJTA First Issue

The purpose is to foster research into the concepts of price, volume, open interest and any other component of the
markets as they are applied to Stocks, commodities and/or options as traded on the financial markets of the world.

The CJTA is distributed to all members of the CSTA and is available for download in PDF format in the members section of the website.

The CJTA will be published annually and invites submissions of quantifiable articles from CSTA members (for more details check the members section).
